Welcome to Visionary Retina Center! We’re excited to help care for your vision and ensure the health of your retina. Here’s some important information to prepare for your visit:
What to expect during your visit:
- Your appointment could take approximately between 1-3 hours, depending on diagnostic testing and treatments indicated.
- Your eyes will be dilated, the effect of which can last approximately 4-6 hours. Dilation may cause blurry vision and sensitivity to light.
- During your first visit, we will take a detailed medical history to understand your overall health and any previous eye conditions. This will be followed by a comprehensive eye and retinal examination, additional diagnostic testing, a discussion of your diagnosis and treatment plan with Dr. Golchet, and possible initial treatment, if indicated and authorized.
- There is complimentary Valet/Self -Parking at the entrance on Park Sorrento.
What to bring to your visit:
- Current insurance cards
- Photo ID
- Specialist co-payment as indicated on your insurance card (if applicable)
- List of medications you’re currently taking, including supplements/vitamins and eye drops
- Medical history and the name of any eye doctors and your primary care medical doctor
- Due to dilation, we recommend that you arrange for someone to drive you after the exam.
- Your current eyeglasses, as well as sunglasses for comfort due to dilation after you leave
- Consider bringing a snack if you are diabetic
- New patient paperwork is available on our website at https://visionaryretina.com/patient-forms/ and can be filled out before your visit to save time; if you prefer to fill out the paperwork at our office, please arrive 15-30 minutes early.
We are happy to include family members in the discussion of your condition if you wish, and we will keep your referring doctor informed of our findings.
If you cannot make your appointment, please call the office to reschedule. Appointments must be changed 24 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee.
